My primary research interest lies in the development, validation and application of a hybrid vortex filament/finite volume scheme for large eddy simulation. Recent applications include boundary layer flow where the filament scheme has been used to gain new insights into the vortical structure and its dynamics as well as the flow past a sphere. Also of interest are ground vehicle flows and wind turbine flows.
