Homework Assignment 2

Due: 9am, October 4, 2006.

Spreadsheet Problem 1

Develop a web page that uses a Java-based spreadsheet to solve an engineering problem.

I suggest that you take a look at spreadsheets . This applet was originally developed by SUN Microsystems and modified by David Chancogne at ISR.

Your web page should contain three parts:

• Problem Statement.
  Develop a short description of the engineering problem and its solution procedure.
• Spreadsheet Analysis.
  Create a section for the spreadsheet applet, together with instructions on how to use and manipulate the spreadsheet calculations.
• Interpretation of Results.
  How should the results of your calculation be interpreted?

What to hand in

There is nothing to hand in -- the grader will simply visit your web page soon after the due date. Hint. Don't link your home page to your assignment until early-in-the-morning October 2.
