PRINTING PRESS IS CORRECT --
ADD 50 POINTS TO YOUR SCORE!

Prior to the invention of the printing press, hand copied books were relatively rare; even large libraries housed only a few hundred books. These books were laid on shelves and chained.

As the available number of books increased through the production of the printing press, it became possible for libraries to greatly increase their holdings. Shelving was replaced by bookcases along walls and books were then stored vertically.
