I am a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. I completed my Bachelors in Telecommunications from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India and Masters in Electrical Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Currently I am working under the guidance of Prof. Alexander Barg on the areas of classical and quantum coding theory, information theory and networks. Previously I have been associated with TCG Digital Solutions as a Software Development Analyst and PwC India as a Consultant. My detailed CV can be found here.

Interests

My research interests broadly lie in the fields of Classical and Quantum Information Theory and Error Correcting Codes. More specifically I have been studying problems related to distributed storage, private information retrieval, distributed function computation, quantum information thoery and quantum error correction.

In my spare time, you can find a guitar in my hand. I also enjoy reading a good crime thriller, go on hiking in the mountains or cook something spicy in the kitchen. Occasionally I bother the locals with my amateur street photography skills.
