Greetings and salutations! My name is Afanwi (Ah-fawn-wee) and I’m a sophomore at UMD majoring in General Biology. My current interests on campus revolve around UMD ASM's club and trying to keep up with my classes. I'm still looking forward to making new friends, participating in fun activities, and earning my degree. My favorite class so far is Organic Chemistry and my least favorite is Physics. I'm excited to take more biology classes and hopefully participate in research on campus. I chose to be a part of Science and Global Change because I’m interested in how Earth is changing and how humans have played a role in that. My SGC supporting courses have also been very interesting, and I've enjoyed learning about the role climate change plays in public policy and world hunger.
