Our Strong Structure

By Erica and Anne

We made two boxes and put 4 cylinders in each corner. Then we made one big cylinder to put in the middle. Next, we added some more cylinders into the big cylinder.

We used all 26 dictionaries and 9 black books on top of our structure, but it started to lean, so we stopped. Yesterday our structure held Anne's dad. Anne's dad weighs about 185 pounds.

I learned that to make a strong structure you must have a lot of cylinder shape columns because cylinders hold more weight then any other shape.

I was impressed because our structure held a man who weighs about 185 pounds.
