Wilma Rudolph

	This stamp commemorates Wilma Rudolph. Wilma was 
	born in the year of 1940, in Clarksville,TN. 
	Wilma never liked to lose, she always tried her
	 very hard to be a winner. When Wilma was a young
	  child, she had to wear a brace on her left leg
	   because she was crippled by polio. Soon she 
	   learned to walk and run without her brace. In 
	   high school she won many races. In the 1960 
	   Olympic games held in Rome, Wilma was the 
	   first woman to win three Olympic medals in 
	   track racing. Wilma was the world's fastest
	    woman runner.
