Lacke Alaine

This Stamp commemorates Locke Alaine. He was Born in 1886 in Philadelphia
and died in 1954. Alaine was an teacher, writer historian and, a critic.
In 1907 he was selected as a Rhodes Scholar. Alaie was one of leader of
the Harlem Renaissance during the 1920 and 1930. For 36 year he taught at
Howard University. He was one of the best Scholas. He worte many books and
article should the contribution black American made to our live. He was
a Black Scholar.
