Su verdadero nombre era Ricardo Eliezer Nefatli Reyes. Creció y se educó en Temuco, hasta la edad de 17 años que se trasladó a Santiago para estudiar Francés en el Instituto Pedagógico de la Universidad de Chile, pero nunca terminó esta carrera porque se dedicó a escribir poesias.
Ganó muchos premios pero los más importantes de todos fueron el Premio Nobel en Literatura en 1971 y el Premio Lenin de la Paz en 1953. Además de escribir hermosos poemas también se dedicó a la política y llegó a ser Senador de la República desde 1945 a 1948.

"Ahora, amor mío, agua, ternura, luz luminosa o sombra transparente, sencillez, vas conmigo ayudándome a nacer, enseñándome otra vez a cantar, verdad, virtud, vertiente, victoria cristalina."
Pablo Neruda was born in Parral ,the 12 of July 1904 and died the 23 of September of 1973, few days later of the Militar Coup. People say that he died of sadness because of the death of democracy and President Salvador Allende.
His real name was Ricardo Eliezer Neftali Reyes. He grew up and was educated in Temuco till he was 17 years old, when he moved to Santiago to study French at the Teachers Training College of the University of Chile, but he never finished hir carrear because he devoted himself to write poems.
He won many prizes but the most important were the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1971 and the Lenin for Peace Prize in 1953. Besides he wrote beautiful poems he was a politian and he became a Senator of the Republic from 1945 to 1948.
