Es un hermoso pueblo y balneario ubicado a dos horas al norte de Santiago, en la región de Valparaíso. Las cuatro playas, llamadas: Canelo, Canelillo, Mirasol y Algarrobo, son visitadas cada verano por millares de personas espacialmente familias con niños pequeños por sus blancas arenas, mar azul y tranquilo.

El pueblo de Algarrobo es una mezcla de modernidad y de barrios antiguos con casa de adobe.

Hay muchos lugares que visitar como la Isla del Pingüino, el Pie de la Princesa, la Marina y los verdes bosques de pino y eucalipto.

Algarrobo también es conocido por un lugar para deportes náuticos como windsurf, surf, navegación en yates y juegos de playa.

Hay muchos hoteles, moteles y pensiones. De diferentes precios, lo mismo que restaurantes donde la comida típica son los mariscos, como locos, jaibas, cangrejos, camarones, etc.

También hay mucha artesanía en conchitas, piedras, y greda.

It is a beautiful town and seaside resort located about two hours to the north of Santiago, in the region of Valparíso. The four beaches, called: Canelo, Canelillo, Mirasol and Algarrobo, are visted each year by millons of peole, specially by families with small children because of its white sand and blue and calm sea.

The town of Algarrobo is a mixture of modern buildings and old quarters with adobe houses.

There are many places to visit like the Island of the Pinguin, the Princess Foot, the Marina and the green forests of pine and eucalyptus.

Algarrobo is also known as a place for nautic sports like windsurf, surf, sailing in yachts and beach games.

There are many hotels, motels and boarding-houses of different fees. The same as restaurants where the tipical food are shellfish, like "locos", crabs, lobsters, shrimps, etc.

There is also artcraft in shells, stones and clay.
