I am a fifth year Astronomy PhD student at the University of Maryland, and my
primary research interests are in the field of Astrobiology. I am currently working on my
dissertation, studying the organic composition of comets through infrared spectroscopy.

2009: First author of publication in Icarus, International Journal of Solar System Studies, (in press):
"The Organic Composition of Comet C/2000 WM1 (LINEAR) Revealed Through Infrared Spectroscopy"

Summer 2004 and 2005, 2007-present: Internships and continuing PhD research at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
(NASA Astrobiology Institute)

November 2007: IAU circular on the enriched organic composition of the comet 17P/Holmes:IAU Circ., 8890, 1 (2007)

April 2006: Publication in the ApJ Supplement: "Calibration of the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer Proportional Counter Array"

Summer 2003: Internship at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (Laboratory for High Energy Astrophysics)

Membership in The Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, and Sigma Pi Sigma: The National Physics Honors Society

2002: Research at the Connecticut College Ion Accelerator Lab

1997-2001: Publications from astrometric observations of comets and asteroids with the 50cm
Schmidt telescope at the Bulgarian National Observatory in the Minor Planet Circulars
