Hurricane Katrina was very devistating to the residents of New Orleans. The levees that were built to protect them failed. After the hurricane struck and the damage was assesed, engineers were to blame for the levees failing. To aviod a repeat of this horrible event, engineers have redesigned and rebuilt the leeves to an acceptable standard.
