DUTIES: RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT
OF GEOGRAPHY. A full time research faculty position for a Research Assistant
Professor is available in the Department of Geography, University of Maryland
at College Park.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The
successful candidate is expected to develop an innovative research program in
remote sensing science with primary research interests in retrieval of land
surface properties from satellite data, particularly surface radiation
quantities. Candidate
will be expected to
conduct research in support of NASA and NOAA related projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants
should have a Ph.D in geography, environmental
science, geomatics, engineering, or other related
disciplines with a strong background in quantitative analysis of satellite
data, and effective communication skills in English.
