Introduction to Engineering Design

The project this semester is a solar powered water heater.  We will work in teams of six students each to design, construct, and test our water heaters.  Along the way, we hope to get a sense of what it means to be an engineer, and to learn about teamwork, communication skills, computer applications, some scientific and engineering basics, the design process, ethics and the role of engineers in society, and safety.  Some of our course materials and electronic resources are accessible through the Clark School Online site, and are password-protected  (SunTerps only!!).   Each team is responsible for maintaining a team web page once the design process is underway.  Soon you will be able to click on the team name to access the team web page.
