I quite like this book. I started model theory with a semester class, of which half the time was spent on formal deductions and the completeness theorem, leaving precious little time in which to do the more interesting work. I really got acquainted with the basics of the subject studying for the qualifying exam, and then got into this book.
It is delightful.
Note that I use lots and lots of whitespace on these solutions (keep every problem in a separate file, keep separate parts on separate pages) - I think it makes them more useful as solutions, as you can avoid reading things you don't want to read yet, but don't print them. Combine the tex files, take out the \newpage tags, etc.
