Osi's Web Memoirs
Recreational
Even though I'm the only one in this picture, my best friend and I come to the Terp Zone at least twice a week to play pool. I really like the Terp Zone because it has big T.V. projectors, arcades, bowling alleys, a subway, and most importantly, pool tables. It ususally cost $5 an hour to use a pool table, but there's usually a special that makes the price lower.
Diversity
A couple of friends and I went to go watch the North American Indian Classical Cello Project at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. We listened to musicians playing and singing to cello songs of indian descent. Most of the lyrics were in a Native American language, something that I've never really heard.
Academic
I went to an academic lecture at the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building. The lecture was the, "Strategy for Technology Development," and it was presented by Ray Johnson. He's important because he is the senior vice president and CTO of the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He spoke about technology development and its global trends, organizational issues, and research investments.
Citizenship
For citizenship, I participated in a blood drive. Although I have no pictures of it here, I have a letter proving I participated and a shirt. Even though it was a new experience, I doubt I'm going to do it again anytime soon, I don't like needles.
