About Me
Hi! My name is Maria Martello and I am currently a sophomore Civil
Engineer at the University of Maryland. My older sister also attend UMD
and is a senior Busniess Marketing major. I am from Howard County,
Maryland and I went to River Hill High School (Go Hawks!).
I am excited to progress in my field of study and see what the future
holds for me. Ideally, I would like to work somewhere in Europe and
collaborate with engineers around the globe on projects for an
international company. Although I am particularly interested in
green building and sustainability, I am also concerned with
people around the world living in substandard conditions and would like to
help improve their quality of life.
A few random things you may not know about me: I still love the Terps,
even if they aren't ACC champs. I strongly dislike dogs. Eleanor Roosevelt
is my inspiration. I lived in California. British history is awesome. I try and
do something every day that scares me. When I was little, I had glasses.
