Welcome to my electronic portfolio! I am a Maryland native, but I love experiencing new places and interacting with new people. I am a firm believer in the adage ‘there is something to learn from everyone’. I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education at the University of Maryland, College Park. |

I work as a team leader for a program called America Counts; which means that I design math lesson plans to support and extend the Prince George's County curriculum for fourth graders. I implement the lesson plans during an after-school program. I also teach the lesson plans, as well as teach others to teach the lesson plans in small group settings. There is a mentoring aspect to America Counts as well; I oversee a team of mentors, and I also mentor! | |||||||||
| I have always been the questioning type, and one thing that I want all students to feel comfortable doing is asking questions and relaying stories in the classroom. As a team leader for America Counts, I teach math to fourth grade students while simultaneously the students, many of whom are native Spanish-speakers, quiz me on my Spanish! | ||||||||||
