Vaaleron Onion: Grifter Hans

- I updated my all time favorite videogames list on April 23, 2004, to include Red Faction and Sonic Adventure 2 (with Tails, of course) as finished games, and also added
a section on racing games, a preview of a soon-to-be-posted much-more-detailed shooter games list, and sections on Retro (old) games and games that I thought were really odd
but quite worthy of play by everyone. I also added some notes that I had on some of the games I had finished, regarding circumstances and so forth.
- I wasn't sure if you were aware of it, but I have a web-log "blog" now. It is called MagicalTurnip's PIZZA NINJA DOJO, and it is meant to be a training site
which will teach you the skills you need to be a ninja (mammals especially should check it out, but all you scalies too should go, just so you can become a ninja too. Ninjas shouldn't be kept only to the mammals :P).
- One of my friends, Arjun Agarwal, was kind enough to set up a domain name and hosting for me. He has some pages at http://www.m2mhost.com/ about the hosting, but you should check out my pages over at my new website "http://www.digimerle.com/". Items of special interest might include A Knight's Errand, which is a story I wrote during Spring Break, this Quicktime video clip of me in Dr. Greer's Laboratory, and perhaps my Fuumin-neo pet drawing of my new Neopets pet.
- You might not have seen some of the drawings which I have posted yet, since they are hidden away in their own folder. Here are my most recent two: Shinji Ikari from the Unfamiliar Ceiling episode (250kB), and a drawing of Elf Princess Rane from the OAV's DVD box. Both are cover sheets from Inorganic Chemistry homework assignments.
- View my new student schedule if you need to reach me in Real Life this Spring 2004 semester. I only miss class if I'm too sick to wake up, so you can pretty much find me there if I'm alive and conscious.
- Here's my new info on the Lightguns and their games available for PlaystationOne and Playstation2! I got Time Crisis 3 and a Guncon2 to start, then many other things happened!
- I made a new index just for My Stories, so you don't have to dig through the whole website to find them.
- I got a new cell phone, a Nokia N-Gage. But I figured out how to do a lot of cool stuff with it, so here's Grifter Hans's N-Gage FAQ for you to look at. Then you can call me up at +1-240-893-1048 for the next month or so and talk to me live!
- Here's my most recent Personal Statement and Research Proposal. These are from my application to the Churchill Committee's Winston Churchill scholarship program.
- Since a lot of people have been asking me about it, here are my materials for the Capillary Electrophoresis Advance-Lab for your reading pleasure (copy and die ;): The Lab Report (HTML), the Results Spreadsheet (TXT), and the Calculations Spreadsheet (TXT). Note that you might have to import the TAB-DELIMITED spreadsheet files into a spreadsheet program for the columns to line up correctly.
- Web Quizzes: Check out all the results from the Quizilla web quizzes that I have taken!
- Visit a small part of my Dream World..[preview, very not finished]//
- Download my Student Schedule for Fall 2003.
- Gvzk: The Tale of the Ten Thousands. (still in progress)
- That's my Superfly Car!
My review of Driver: You are the Wheelman (GT Games, for Playstation and PC).
August 15th, 2003.
- Some One Line Notes of mine.
August 10th, 2003. (not really there yet)
- Dot Hack // Infection (Part 1): Leaf's Story.
I'm not sure if this is turning into a review of the PS2 Game, a diary, or a fanfic. It is of me, whatever way it actually is.
Revisions: August 8th, 2003. Picture Added: August 9th, 2003.
- What's in a Name?
A brief discussion of names and places. It's all about me, and other people I constructed while wandering through the Network. Possibly of historic interest.
Project initiated on May 3, 2003.
- Game Review Index
After playing the abyssal Beyond the Beyond on my Playstation, I decided that it was totally time for me to start posting reviews of games on my website. Here I continue the proud tradition.
Dot Hack Review Added: August 9th, 2003.
- Campus Fun at the University of Maryland - College Park
I have gone to this school for almost two years, so I think I can come to a decision on what rooms are cool and what rooms are seriously not cool.
Ongoing project, started May 3, 2003.
- Homework Policy
I have some different ideas about homework than some other people, so I thought I'd make them clear in this section.
May 3, 2003.
- Rion's World: Galerians
I finally finished the game, so now I can make my fansite! Yeah! This section of my website is totally devoted to the original Galerians game (released in the US by Crave Games). (Spoiler Free Index Pages! All details clearly guarded by labeled links!)
Project Started May 14, 2003. Updated+Extended May 26, 2003.
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game!? Yeah!
I finally got some cards, so everything I learn about the game will go on this page!
Dates: May 16th, 2003.
- Check out my Yu-Gi-Oh! Battle Report! Felix showed me the Battle Reports website at school, and it made me want to make one! Note: My brother took notes on the second half of the battle, but I didn't like them since he changed the POV to his own, so I had to re-write his section to match the first half. You can probably see the other half as it was before somewhere...
Written May 25th, 2003; whipped up into shape May 26th, 2003.
- Read my Biochemistry III paper on "Using a virus to correct a genetic defect." [Print Version] [Internet Version]
I worked really hard to write this paper for my biochemistry class, but when I finished it turned out to be a little shorter than the assignment asked for. So, I turned it in short instead of "padding" it out. This is the paper, exactly as I brought it to class on May 13th, 2003. The paper was based on a newspaper article in the Washington Post that was talking about how some of the patients in a study in France had developed Leukemia after their treatment. My paper explains how the process worked, and also what apparently went wrong.
- If you like Biochemistry, and are taking a class in DNA, you might find my Biochem Review Notes helpful. This is what Dr. Julin let us know about before we took our final exam.
I also took about 45 pages of notes from my notebooks with my computer before my exam, and although there are none of the diagrams, you might find looking at it handy. You can also program your computer to read it aloud to you while you dream.
- I was riding the bus the other day, and discovered something interesting. Read about my opinion of Censorship. (Not completely done)
- I wrote a fan-fiction on the old NES game Excitebike called Wheels of Fire.
- Download Tsuggath14e, one of the songs from my really ancient site which I sequenced in March of 2000, just before I left Montgomery College. Everyone in the Math and Science Center was humming it for about a week. At 20kB, it's a monster of a MIDI file, but small enough that it won't strain your modem.
News Report:
February 25, 2004: My laptop is still broken (after I dropped it a couple weeks ago, the hard drive stopped working), but the replacement part may arrive soon. Arjun Agarwal was kind enough to set up a new website server for me as a present, so some updates may be appearing there this weekend. I also wrote a serious web page about Ninja Training that you may enjoy looking at. I am still working on my graduate school application, but it will probably be all done by Friday.
Links and Media:
- Arjun Agarwal, one of my friends from school, gave me a domain and webserver account as a present. The page is at http://www.digimerle.com/, but since the server has many interesting features, I will likely be doing different and exciting things there once my computer is repaired and my school applications are done.
- I started one of those web log things. It is about training to be a ninja. It is called "The Pizza Ninja Dojo". I wrote it to be lighthearted, so maybe if you want to learn about ninja skills and enjoy my immature chat style writing, you could visit it!
- My mini-Art Gallery only has a few pictures it in right now, but maybe later there will be more. I wish I wasn't sharing my webspace with my email account : / But for now, it's cool!
- Wanna see me? Here's a thoughtful picture from November 13th, 2003. AND, my Vash The Stampede pose from my webcam (autorefreshes every thirty seconds, but it's usually not running, so don't hold your breath).
- Google web search engine. It's so nice!
- Activision Games.
- What is The Matrix?
- I got this new manga book "Demon Diary", but although the first volume was cool, the second one was 50% boring, and the third one was almost 70% boring, so I quit reading it. The Manga Preview section of the Tokyopop page might be worth taking a peek at if you are interested in finding out more.
- Yahoo Games: I got an entire room full of librarians and students addicted to Yahoo Pool at school last year when I started playing it at McKeldon.
- My old Quickbeam: Vaaleron's World of Onion site might be of interest.
- If you have the disc version of my site, I mirrored a deluxe version under Quickbeam Unreleased. Unreleased is based on my Tripod site on March 1, 2003, and has since diverged from the online version.
- Want to listen to some of my published music?
Visit my pages on MP3.com, or try The Music Section. (Probably only works completely on the disc version.)
Credits:
The pictures on this page are taken from the installer from the Final Fantasy VIII Demo. (available from Gamespy's Fileplanet website and a lot of other places). I recommend checking it out--after you play the game on your computer, you can get the game for Sony Playstation pretty cheap in your local supply shop. Alternatively, visit a web store like Half.com, and you can order it sent to you.)
This page was designed to be viewable in a plain text editor, but should also look nice on most graphics displays as well. The images should display all-right with a display resolution of 640x480, and fonts set to 18pt, which is how my computer is currently configured. I made sure to give all of the links unique names, so you should be able to use your screenreader and voice-recognition software to browse through here without having to change anything special (I hope).
