- Credit Cell:
- Contains information about the buffer space at the downstream node for the VC
- Total allocated buffer at the downstream node contains N2+N3 cells. The value of N3 is chosen to be large enough to avoid underflow where:
N3 = RTT * Bvc
(N3 accounts for the maximum number of cells “in-transit”)
