  • [S214] Letter from Christine E. De Voe (unknown address) to Mrs. Albert DeVoe (Nellie), unknown date; copy in possession of Howard DeVoe (2442 Five Shillings Road, Frederick, Maryland). This letter apparently was in response to information about her family supplied by Nellie DeVoe. (Marion DeVoe received a request for family information from Christine De Voe in May 1978, and Nellie had probably received the same request.) Most of the information written down in this letter seems to have come from the 1885 Thomas De Voe book, but the more recent names and dates are probably those supplied by Nellie. The latest date is 1977, so the letter must have been sent that year or later.
