Mary Wilmot was born about 1638.1 She was the daughter of John Wilmot and Bridget (?). Horne2 states that Mary's mother, Bridget, was the wife of Magistrate Edward Waters at the time of Mary's marriage; according to Jones,1 Edward Waters (born about 1620) married Bridget, widow of Captain John Wilmot, about 1637 and was Mary's father.

Mary Wilmot married Miles Oakley in 1669 at Great Neck, Long Island, New York.3

Mary Wilmot died about 1698.3
