Jacob De Voe was born in 1745 based on his baptism having been this year.1 He was the son of John De Voe and Hester See.1 The Thomas De Voe genealogy does not mention this birth, and confused Jacob with his younger brother Jacobus.2 Jacob De Voe was baptized on 31 October 1745 at the Old Dutch Church, Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County, New York.1
