1.  In reduced_eqns_g:  on p R4, the "eigenvalue eqn" is correct but the 
equation following has an n' phi' term missing.  In the later derivation 
for the short wavelength limit, this term is small, so doesnt matter.  
In the long wavelength limit, its important and I had already included 
this term in the analysis.
