                           Goldston and Rutherford is recommended as a general reference.
                           I will try to post or give out handouts as appropriate.

Content:            This is a continuation of 761 (a prereq).   I will emphasise mathematical methods
                           applicable to plasma physics and NL PDE's in general, especially asymptotic methods.
                           The physics underlying neutral fluids and magnetohydrodynamics will be discussed.    
                           Numerical methods, MHD instability, reconnection, drift waves, turbulence and transport,
                            are some of the topics I intend to cover, time permitting.
