Web Memoir

I played club lacrosse this sememester. This was one of the most enjoyable things I did with my semester. We had practices Monday through Thursday. I tried to go to as many practices as I could, but sometimes the workload would prevent me from playing. Maryland hosted a tournament that was very enjoyable and I got to play in a lot. The skill level of the team was a quite a jump from high school, but I look forward to playing again next semester.

I gave blood twice this semester. My dad has given blood for a couple of years and it is something that is also important to me. I plan on giving blood on a regular basis for the rest of my life. The last time I gave blood was on November 7th in Laplatta hall.

I saw Nick Abadzis Speak about his book Laika. Nick Abadzis is a writer/artist who talked about the research behind his story. This was interesting to here about an author applying some of the things they tried to teach us in English 101. He also talked about getting the book on time before the sputnik aniversary.

I have not currently done anything that would qualify for the diversity horizons, but hopefully I will at some point during this semester.
