Title of Project: Repair Proteins in Cancer Cells

Decscription of Project: Worked at NIH to determine the amount of protein cancerous cells produce.The goal was to find a treatment that kills cancerous cells without harming the target protein.

What were the main benefits you received from doing the project?: The research provided hands on experience for a future with medical research.

What were the main pitfalls or obstacles during the development and/or undertaking of the project?: HELa Cells did not show up for the Ku70 gel because of mistakes.

Title of Project: Volunteering in Operation room at Shock Trauma University of Maryland Center

Decscription of Project: The goal of the project was to learn about medicine and gain experience in the surgical environment and activities included seting up the operation room, ran blood, restock supplies, Transported patients.

What were the main benefits you received from doing the project?: Watching surgeries and gaining experience in the surgical environment.

What were the main pitfalls or obstacles during the development and/or undertaking of the project?: During surgeries Megan was in the way and did not know what was going on.

Decscription of Project: Created variations in the upper ionosphere that are responsible for northern lights predicts future variations in space weather resulting from solar flares

What were the main benefits you received from doing the project?: He learned about space weather.

What were the main pitfalls or obstacles during the development and/or undertaking of the project?: Inaccuracy in data and the project was hard to do alone.
