Interest in condensed matter physics seems to run in the family: My grandfather Victor Galitskii, senior was a well-known solid state and high-energy theoretical physicist. Here is the actual hand-written manuscript of his [as submitted to the journal, Ref.: Sov. Phys. JETP 7 , 104 (1958)], in which diagrammatic methods of quantum field theory were used for the very first time in a condensed matter context to calculate Fermi liquid parameters.
