"América Latina y el Caribe" park
This trip took place in August 1998. The "América
Latina y
el Caribe" park is located in the mountains near San Lucas
Sacatepequez, a few kilometers away from Guatemala City. In this park
there are several roof covered places to camp and each place has the
name of a Latin America country. There is a great variety of natural
life both plants and animals. At the night we could listen the coyotes'
howling, which made us to be close to the camping area... just in case.
That occasion we carried all the necessary to have a great dinner:
meat, sausages, tortillas, drinks, etc. I don't know if at the
time of writing this (2004) the park still exists. It would be worth to
repeat the adventure!
