Microsoft certification

I just got off the phone with a friend from back home who I haven't seen in about 6 months. He didn't have the money to go away to school and instead decided to keep living at home with his parents while taking a few classes at the local community college and this allowed him to keep working his job. He has finally decided on a career path and he has decided the computer industry is for him. He has decided to go to school and get his Microsoft Certification and a local company has offered him a job if he goes through this program and successfully completes it. I told him I really think this is a great opportunity for him, but I had never heard of Microsoft Certification before, and I was wondering if he could explain to me a little bit more about it.

He said that Microsoft certification is a program that is specially designed for different professionals to learn more about working with Microsoft technology and find better ways to use it in their different industries. He said that when you earn Microsoft Certification, it shows people your level of expertise with Microsoft products and platforms and validates your real world skills and job related experiences. He said that being Microsoft certified is a great way to stay up to speed on the latest in Microsoft Technology and that the program does its best to update so it stays relevant. He says that with all his computer experience it should be a breeze to complete the different levels and get his certificate in no time at all.

He seems really excited about this program and about the new road he is taking in his life. We talked a little bit about the people that I know and how and what they are doing and what is going on back home. We made some small talk and I congratulated him again on his new and exciting adventure and told him that I wished him the best. We agreed to hook up the next time I was home on break, but I don't know whether that will actually happen or not, but it was nice to hear a little news from home and I am really glad that his is in a good place, I always felt bad for him that he couldn't get up the money to go away to school, he was always a nice guy.
