bathroom taps
We bought our house 10 years ago and we have been remodeling ever since. The very first thing we remodeled was the kitchen because I just couldn't stand the old fixtures and appliances in it. Well, my husband is not quite the handy man, so it too almost a year to complete, but I was just happy to have a nice new kitchen and had kind of been ignoring all the other work that the house needed because of it. We went on to redo the living room, den, dining room, bedrooms, and basement. We are finally down to just needing to redo the bathrooms, but I have a large set of requirements, especially for the master bath which are driving my husband a little batty. We started by going to pick out the tub that I wanted, but I really wanted a bath tub that was really large. I love to soak in the tub and I really wanted a nice one. We picked out a sink and a commode and some gorgeous tiles for the wall and floor. I guess the ones I picked must have been really expensive, because when it came time to buy the taps and towel rails, my husband really started drawing the line on how much I could spend. I really never realized that bathroom taps could be so expensive, after all they seemed really plain, but my husband said that is how much they cost. After shopping for all the stuff for our new bathroom I was really excited and tried to envision what the bathroom would look like upon completion. I have to be honest about it, I love a beautiful bathroom. I know that sounds really strange, but I love to accessorize a bathroom with beautiful towels, rugs, shower curtains and pictures. When we went to bed that night we talked a little bit about our new bathroom, and my husband finally seemed resigned to the fact that this is what I wanted. When all was said and done and we went to sleep, I had a dream about soaking in my new bathtub and how beautiful the bathroom will look when the remodeling is complete. I honestly envisioned every single thing that we bought in that new bathroom down to the exact same fixtures. Now I am just afraid that when the bathroom is actually completed, that it won't live up to what I saw in my dream, and I hope I am not disappointed with the finished product.
