Eric J. Montgomery
Eric Montgomery received his Bachelor’s of Science in Physics and Interdisciplinary Studies: Optical Engineering from
UMBC
in 2005, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
As an undergraduate he did research at UMBC in the
Optical Fiber Communications Laboratory
, the
Quantum Optics Laboratory
, and the
Laboratory for Nonlinear Optical Studies of Macromolecular Photonic Materials
. Also as an undergraduate he researched single photon detector calibration at the
National Institute of Standards and Technology
.
Eric’s current research is in the area of dispenser photocathodes for
free electron lasers
.
