NOTES: This is a mystery film about the "Pawati emerald," which has been split into 5 parts. An Indian sect wants to recover the gem(s): the first victim is Mrs. Wilkins, who is strangled. Her daughter is kidnaped and tortured to obtain the names of the other 4 people who own parts of the emerald. A stripper, a female detective story writer, and a jeweler are the next three to die. However, Inspector Harvey of Scotland Yard and his assistant Masters eventually uncover the gang behind the plot.
