The Professionals (1966)

Prod/Dir/Scr: Richard Brooks; Orig. Novel: Frank O'Rourke ("A Mule for the Marquesa"); Photo: Conrad Hall; Music: Maurice Jarre; Film Ed: Peter Zinner

CAST: Burt Lancaster (Bill Dolworth), Lee Marvin (Henry Rico Farden), Robert Ryan (Hans Ehrengard), Jack Palance (Capt. Jesús Raza), Claudia Cardinale (María Grant), Ralph Bellamy (J.W. Grant), Woody Strode (Jacob Sharp), Rafael Bertrand (Fierro), Jorge Martínez de Hoyos (Padilla) and Elizabeth Campbell as "Mexican girl"

NOTES: although I saw this film years ago, I was not aware that Elizabeth Campbell was in it until very recently. I shall have to re-view it and look for her. This must be the same Elizabeth Campbell, although one would hardly have expected the tall, red-haired actress to be cast as a "Mexican girl" in a Hollywood production.

The Professionals is a Western about four soldiers of fortune (Lancaster, Ryan, Strode, Marvin) who are hired to retrieve the wife (Cardinale) of a middle-aged cattle baron (Bellamy), who has been "kidnaped" by bandit/revolutionary Raza (Palance).
