Alta Vista Prods./American International Pictures, released in 1964
Producers: James H. Nicholson, Robert Dillon; Director: William Asher
Cast: Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Luciana Paluzzi, John Ashley, Don Rickles, Little Stevie Wonder, Morey Amsterdam, Buddy Hackett, Peter Lorre, Dick Dale and the Del Tones and Amedee Chabot as "Floe"
This beach comedy pits the surfers (Frankie and Annette, et al) against body builders (led by "Flex Martian," played by Rock Stevens). Not only are there conflicts over sand, matters are complicated when a wealthy contessa (Luciana Paluzzi) dumps Flex and takes up with Frankie. Eventually, Flex is convinced that body building doesn't leave time for romance, and everybody is happy.
This was Amedee Chabot's first released film (March 1964) and as the video capture on this page shows, she got to participate in some action as one of the muscle girls. Perhaps not coincidentally, when Amedee won the Miss USA-World title in 1962, she said she kept her figure by "lifting weights."
Screen cap courtesy of the WOM!WAM! page, which has some additional shots of Amedee (as well as a lot of other photos in this genre).
The other still (showing Peter Lupus--aka "Rock Stevens"-- and Amedee Chabot) comes from Brian's Drive In (see the Beach Films section). This photo was used as part of the "key art" in publicity for the film, showing up on the posters, lobby cards, etc.
