Director: Hal Needham
CAST: Burt Reynolds (Sonny Hooper), Jan Michael Vincent (Ski),
Sally Fields, John Marley, Robert Klein and Christa Linder ("actress")
Christa Linder has a small part in this film about a famous stunt man, Sonny Hooper, who is working on a James Bond-style spy film (starring Adam West). About half-way through the picture, a night scene is being shot on a European city set. Sonny and young stuntman Ski, wearing monk's robes, set a fire which causes a limousine to stop. Sonny opens the door and Christa Linder is inside. "Sonny, will you get me out of here?" she asks. He bites her playfully on the leg and buttocks (thru her dress), as he wraps her up in a fireproof blanket and carries her out. After they clear the flames and the scenes wraps, Christa hugs Sonny and says "You know, Sonny, I love stuntmen."
It is rather hard to understand how Christa Linder wound up in such a small role in a Hollywood movie (partially shot in Alabama) at this point in her career, but there you have it.
