(Damned to Sin)

An Eberhard Keindorff production for Eichberg-Filmgesellschaft (Munich)--TEAM-Filmgesellschaft (Berlin), 1964

DIRECTOR: Alfred Weidenmann; SCR: Eberhard Keindorff, Johanna Sibelius; ORIG. NOVEL: "Die Festung" by Henry Jaeger; PHOTO: Enzo Serafin; MUSIC, ART DIRECTION and COSTUMES: Herta Hareither

CAST: Martin Held (Hugo Staroster), Else Knott (Eliese, his wife), Christa Linder (Mi Mo, their daughter), Michael Ande (Bruno, their son), René Egiomue (Hermann, their son), Sieghardt Rupp (Gustav, their son), Tilla Durieux (grandmother), Hildegard Knef (Alwine), Heidelinde Weis

NOTES: this German-Austrian co-production stars Martin Held (a popular star of German films in the 1950s) as the patriarch of a family which goes to live in a refugee camp that is located in a huge fortress-castle (festung). Christa Linder plays his sexy daughter. So far, this appears to have been her first screen appearance.

Thanks to Georges Freylinger for the data on this film. I will post a more detailed synopsis after I spend some time translating from the German materials he sent me.
