That's right: it's a two-day playing and trading party for steel-ball games only. This event does not have speeches, banquets, or any tournaments other than ad hoc mini-contests. In past years, games have spanned the entire range from 1931 to the latest games. We are not trying to compete with the Wild West Pinball Fest and would urge everyone outside the Northeastern US and Maritime Canada, and anyone who wants speeches and tournaments, to head for the Wild West instead. Our event is a party and an excuse for pinheads to rendezvous at a designated place and time. You can make the event more fun if you attend and bring along a game. Start overhauling your classic/exotic game now. :) As usual, there will be fiscal incentives to bring a game. The location is the same as we used in 1993. It's between Exits 48 and 49 of I-91, just south of the Massachusetts border. Virtually all motel chains are represented in the area, either at Bradley Airport, a clump at Exit 48, in Springfield, or in Hartford. More details will be posted later. I would like to remind everyone that NEPF does not aspire to be in the same league as WWPF or Pinball Expo; we're more like Pinathon. We have vendors, but I don't think any of them would have set up at WWPF. If they announce a date for WWPF '96 at WWPF '95, please post it here ASAP. That will give us (and others) maximum leeway to avoid the date, if that matters. .................David Marston uunet!dartvax!coos!marston marston@coos.dartmouth.EDU
