Scotland the Brave Concert

1998 /03 /20 - 1998 /03 /20 Brevard County, Florida, USA Buses will leave the train depot at Vero Beach at 6:30pm and return to the depot at 11:30pm Depot is on Rt#1 in downtown Vero Beach at RR crossing.

Scotland the Brave Concert, featuring the soldiers musicians of the Black Watch and Scots Guards are appearing at the Maxwell King Center.

Time is 8:30 and buses will leave Vero Beach at 6:30pm and return at 11:30pm.

Price is $26 for special seating and $15 round trip bus fare

Dunloggin in Concert

On Saturday, March 21, 1998, Dunloggin, the Pipes & Drums of Tir na Mhairi, will present an evening of live Scottish/Irish music. The concert will feature Maryland's highest ranked competition bagpipe band, Dunloggin, and features a number of soloists and small ensembles as well as Scottish [Highland] and Irish dancers. The concert should be excellent -- It is being digitally recorded and videotaped in anticipation of the "Dunloggin - Live in Concert" CD and videotape. Come and see this dynamic band in action! The Heart of Tennessee Scottish Celebation

1998 /10 /02 - 1998 /10 /04 Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA 35 miles SE of Nashville, TN Just off I-24 on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.

Celebration begins with seminars held on Friday afternoon with a Patron/Sponsor Dinner that night. Examples of seminars: Genealogy with Beth Gay, Introduction to Gaelic Language, Scottish Current Events, Historical Dress, Harping, and/or Fiddling. Saturday is game day. We hold one day games competitions in highland dance, pipe and drums, professional and amateur athletics. We have sheep herding, Scottish Country Dance Demos, haggis hurling, bonniest knees, shortbread contest, axe throwing, vendors and lots of top national and international entertainers. We don't forget the children and have special activities for all ages. Clans are our speciality. We treat them right. On Saturday night this year there is a ceilidh in the works. And on Sunday we hold the Kirkin' of the Tartans and Luncheon.
