Donating Blood
My experience donating blood was a memorable one. On Tuesday November 4th, I went to LaPlata basement to donate blood. After taking a brief survey, I was all ready to start donating. While I was in the process of giving blood, the person next to me told the nurses that he was feeling very light-headed and felt as if he was going to throw-up. The nurses quickly brought a trashbag over to him, where he was able to throwup. A couple of minutes later I was having the same feelings. I felt very lightheaded and again thought I was going to throw-up. I eventually threw up everything my body had to offer. Luckily, it all landed inside of a trashcan, and not all over me. I felt very embarrassed, as afterwards I continued giving blood for the remainder of the 15minutes, everyone was talking about it. Afterwards, I enjoyed some cookies and had a few laughs about what happened. This was the first time that I had donated blood, and Although I was not nervous about donating, I still managed to get quite sick. Besides the fact of throwing up all over the place, I knew i did a good thing for some other person who was in need.
