Note: All holidays begin the evening before the first day listed, and end at nightfall on the last day listed.
The following days are "full" holidays (work is forbidden by Jewish law):
The remaining days of Sukkot and Pesach are festive days with special observances, but most types of work may be performed when necessary (classes may be attended and tests may be taken).
- Both days of Rosh Hashana
- Yom Kippur
- The first two days of Sukkot
- Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah
- The first two and last two days of Pesach
- Both days of Shavuot
The holidays of Chanukah and Purim are also celebrated with special customs but there are no work restrictions on these days.
