The story of my life so far....

Born way back in 1979 in the then small city of Salem, Tamilnadu (Southern region of India), I was raised in few diffferent parts of the world- Madras (cannot stand the name Chennai), Delhi, Misrata (Libya) and Malta.  I do not recollect much from my childhood but I can tell this- if you have'nt already visited Malta, be sure to do so. It is a lovely place.
My father works for as a quality control supervisor for oil companies while my mother is a home-maker (is'nt that the new term for housewife?). My grandma holds a special place in my heart- for her courage and kindness. My family and I have been through a lot and that has only strenghtened our relation. 

Schooling & undergrad
My schooling began with a nursery near where my grandma used to live- I still remember the name, it was called Rajeshwari Montessori school. I then moved on to Sankara Vidyalaya in Adyar, Chennai. After being at Indian Community School in Misrata, we moved to delhi where I studied a few years in New Greenfield public school.  When my dad came back to India, he wanted to move back to Madras, which meant changing schools- I ended up in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Chinmayanagar branch. One last time, I changed schools- Karthigeyan Matr. school.

I did my undergrad at BITS, Pilani (Biological Sciences and Pharmacy), 1996-2001. The time spent in BITS is unforgettable! I was naive enough to think that as a scientist I would find the cure for cancer.
Anyway here I am at  the University of MD, College Park, trying to finish up my PhD thesis

Someday I plan to update this page - sort of a story of my family!
